HiHium Lake offers more than just terrific trout fishing; it is a wild place where animal life is abundant.  One of my greatest joys has been watching the bald eagles and osprey fish the waters of the lake, or observing a moose feeding in the shallows at the west end of the lake in the early morning light.  The eerie cries of the loons echo across the lake at night, heralding my spirit's noctural journies.
